About

One thing you won’t find anywhere but in Southern Indiana – CAVES, COASTERS, and CANOES – all within close proximity, making it the perfect Trip Idea!

Marengo Cave is Indiana’s most visited Natural Landmark and has been noted as one of the most decorated caves in the interior lowlands.  Squire Boone Caverns is loaded with history and Bluespring Caverns offers boat rides in its subterranean passages.

Holiday World and Splashin’ Safari, formerly known as Santa Claus Land, has been voted as Cleanest Park for a record of 11 years. The Thunderbird, the nations only launched wing coaster goes from Zero to 60 miles per hour in 3.5 seconds and contains the tallest vertical loop on any wing coaster! Home to the two longest water coasters in the world, Holiday World also offers free parking, free sunscreen, and free soft drink refills.  Special events are held throughout the year including Contemporary Christian Music Fest, Happy Halloween Weekends, and July Fireworks Extravaganza. You can Pick Your Price for your best value or purchase season tickets.

Cave Country Canoes on the Blue River, is located 34 miles north, as the river runs, of the Ohio River in Crawford County.  It is fed by more springs than any other river in Indiana and is considered to be one of the state’s highest quality streams.  Two trips are offered:  A seven-mile trip above the dam at Milltown and a more rigorous, but scenic fourteen mile trip to Rothrock’s Mill, where remnants of the old mill can still be found. Limestone bluffs, water riffles, and wildlife abound, and if you’re lucky, you might see a hellbender, one of the world’s largest salamanders!   Leave your phone behind, but bring your fishin’ poles and swimming gear and enjoy a day on the river. Canoes and kayaks are available for either trip.
